Recent NewsUs & Them just screened at the 1st Annual Catskill Mountains Film Festival in Delhi, NY! This was U&T's Central NY Premiere. We also WON the Catty Award for best film in our category, College Narrative Feature!
Us & Them had its West Coast Premiere at the 3rd Annual Silent River Film Festival in Irvine, CA! The SRFF is a big advocate of student, women, foreign, and up-and-coming filmmakers, and showed a lot of these films at the festival in October. U&T was one of only seven features chosen to be screened!
Our director, Carrie Ferrante, was announced as the winner of the River Amulet Award for Best Student Director at the Silent River Film Festival, a joint award with the film itself winning Best Narrative Student Feature! We also WON a Maverick Movie Award for Best Student Picture! HERE are the results on their site. Us & Them had its Midwest Premiere at the 6th Annual Naperville Independent Film Festival! The NIFF was a weeklong festival held just outside Chicago, and they are committed to the spirit of independent filmmaking. We're excited to have been a selection! The film had two screenings on Sept. 19th, 2013 in Naperville, IL.
Our own "Margot Tate", Elizabeth Spano, was nominated for Best Actress at the NIFF, along with the film itself being nominated for Best Student Film! Congratulations Elizabeth and everyone involved with the making of U&T! |
Past Screenings![]() Us & Them had its World Premiere at the 16th Annual Long Island International Film Expo! The Expo is a prestigious festival right by where we filmed U&T, and we were honored to be a part of it. The film was screened as part of the 5PM block on July 23rd, 2013, at the Bellmore Movies cinema in Bellmore, NY, and a Q&A session with the director and lead actor followed the screening.
We were also recently nominated for Best Student Feature at the 4th Annual World Music and Independent Film Festival in Washington, D.C.!
![]() A preview of the rough cut of the film was shown at The Showroom in Asbury Park, NJ as part of the first annual Alpha Class Film Festival by invitation only on August 31st, 2012, to great reception. A panel Q&A session including the director and producer followed the screening.
A preview of 7 minutes of the film was screened for the end-of-year LIU Post Film Festival on May 2, 2012.
